Music Theory

Learning theory is like learning the language behind music: it  reveals the patterns behind the sounds we love. 

 

Instead of memorizing notes by habit alone, students begin to understand *why* music works. Chords, scales, harmony, melody, rhythm, form, and analysis become tools that deepen their understanding.

 

Far from being dry or abstract, music theory empowers students to become independent, thoughtful musicians capable of understanding and communicating about the music they play.
